TWO Dublin-based companies will create 75 jobs as they expand operations with investments of over €4.6 million in Research and Development (R&D) programmes.
OpenJaw Technologies, which delivers online retail technology and services to the global travel industry, is to invest €3.3m in a major R&D programme with government support.

20 new marine research jobs announced at BT young scientist exhibition
The Minister for Natural Resources Fergus O’Dowd announced 20 new marine research jobs today at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in Dublin.
The jobs will created for research as part of INFOMAR, the national marine mapping programme conducted by the Geological Survey of Ireland and the Marine Institute. The research is being funded by the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. More>>

Waterford firm to create 250 jobs
Waterford has received an employment boost today with the announcement that 250 new jobs are to be created by local firm Eishtec as part of a major expansion of its facility in Cleaboy Business Park.
The decision to expand came after Eishtec secured a contract to provide customer service sales support for customers of UK mobile company Orange.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton made the announcement when he visited the Cleaboy facility this morning. More>>

Software firm to create 20 jobs
Software testing firm SQS Software Quality Systems is to increase its workforce, adding 20 new jobs in the next six months.
The move will bring Irish staff numbers at SQS, which employs more than 2,000 people throughout the world, to more than 120.

The firm develops wireless sensor technology that reduces energy costs.
Syndicated funding of €850,000 was provided by the Bank of Ireland Start-up and Emerging Sectors Equity Fund, managed by Delta Partners, the AIB Seed Capital Fund, co-managed by Enterprise Equity, Enterprise Ireland and private investors. More>>

Carraig Donn Ltd says it has been able to expand its operations due to the growth of its export markets and the development of its online retail sales.
